Dear CSA Families and Friends,
Welcome to Chinese School Andover! Hope everyone has being had a safe and fun summer time. With the approaching of August, it is time for us to start our Fall’21 registration at here.
Here are a few important information points about our upcoming school-year arrangements:
1. Online or In-person: Although most of Massachusetts public schools have reopened for in-person learning, we are still facing uncertainties on whether we can fully operate in-person from day-1 for our Fall’21 semester. We are diligently working with our hosting school, the Pike School, to finalize our plan. At this point, we hope to have some grades, such as pre-K to 4th or 5th grades, to have in-person classes, and/or to start in-person classes in a middle point of the semester. We will keep you posted immediately once we have a collaborative decision.
2. Standardized Test: Starting from Fall’21, CSA will add “STAMP-Chinese language”, a nationwide standard evaluation test for Chinese Language, as part of our Chinese language learning curriculum for Grade 2 and above. In detail, in a school year, Grade 2 to Grade 6, including all Bilingual classes, will take two subjects STAMP test; Grade7 and above will take four subjects STAMP test.
3. Tuition and Fees: Total payment for Fall semester includes Tuition, textbook fee, and STAMP testing fee; Total payment for Spring semester will only be Tuition. Total payment for each grade may be different. Please refer to our online registration site for detailed registration terms and conditions.
4. New Campus: Start from Fall’21, CSA is opening a NH campus for Chinese language classes. In-person extracurricular programs will be offered there collaboratively with Dr. Meng Academy. PLEASE NOTE: Classes start with “NH” on online registration are the ones only for in-person classes in NH.
5. Registration Fee Waive Due Date: Registration due date (the date full payment is made) to waive registration fee for Andover campus families is 08/15/2021; for NH campus families is 08/10/2021.
6. Create Family Account for Online Registration: As a reminder for families who are first time using our online registration site, you will need to sign-up first by creating a family account with all students from the family added to the family account. After a family account is created, you can proceed and sign up classes for each student of the family.
7. Payment Method: While the school accept personal check or cash, we encourage you to pay by Zelle to “csazelle@yahoo.com”.
