2020 Fall Semester School-wide Events

Dear All,

As a platform to serve our local community families who are committed to learning the Chinese language and culture, CSA will operate during the pandemic period to continue to enable our families and students to learn, exchange knowledge, help each other, and showcase their talents and achievements.

In Fall 2020, CSA will host four school-wide, student-central online events that are designated to enrich and stimulate the fun of learning in the CSA community. Specific arrangements for each activity will be notified separately:

1. From the beginning to the end of the semester, parents are encouraged to record and send homework videos for their children. The length of the video should be less than 1 minute and should record the process of the student completing a segment of homework. Teachers will vote for the best work.
2. Oct 1st Mid-Autumn Festival Story Telling - Students can use the stories provided by the school, or make up or find their own. The length of the video should be within 2 minutes. Event participating parents will vote for the top story tellers.
3. An online singing competition will be held during Thanksgiving in November. The school will designate a few Chinese songs, post submitted videos, and parents will vote to determine the winners.
4. At the beginning of January (1/5) there will be an online cooking competition. Participants will record a video within 3 minutes, event participating parents vote for the best dishes (without smell nor taste )

All registered contestants will get prizes. The winners will receive additional rewards.

In the following semester, CSA will also organize activities such as a talent show, a textbook reading speech contest, a tongue twister demonstration as well as other competitions for the Spring Festival.

See you all online in the fall!
