About

Chinese School Andover (CSA), established in August 2003, is a volunteer-based 501(c)(3) non-profit, non-political, and non-religious organization. CSA focuses on providing Chinese language education and promoting cross-cultural exchange in the Merrimack Valley and surrounding local communities in the New England area. Chinese School Andover is also a cultural and social forum for people of all ages, races, color, religion, and genders who are interested in Chinese history and Chinese culture. It is the mission of CSA to have a Chinese school for everyone.

CSA Sunday Program (Phone: 978-397-6481) operates every Sunday afternoon at the Pike School, located at 34 Sunset Rock Road in Andover, Massachusetts 01810. CSA is governed by its Board of Directors. The School Administration, with the help of CSA students and parents, manages its weekly program.

CSA strives to provide the best quality customized education in Chinese. Our teachers and staff are highly trained and have extensive professional experience. Our teaching focuses on the quality of learning and the interest of each individual student to learn. In Chinese language education, CSA adapts the Chinese Pin Yin (Han Yu Pin Yin) phonetic system and simplified Chinese characters writing system. Language classes range from kindergarten to 8th grade. CSA also offers Chinese culture programs that include Chinese zither, drawing, paper crafts, chess, Tai Chi, Chinese music, and Chinese history. In addition, through self-organized programs and clubs on various topics, CSA offers a warm social environment for participating families to get together to have fun, to learn, and to share.

CSA does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, nationality or ethnic origin in hiring school teachers and staff, administration of its educational policies and CSA programs. CSA enrolls students of any race, color, nationality or ethnic origin to all rights privileges, programs and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school.

With continuous support from national and local businesses, governments, and our community leaders, specifically, our hosting school, The Pike School, CSA is looking forward to developing solid, community-oriented, cross-culture education and exchange programs that will benefit every quarter of our more than ever culture-diversified society.
