Dear CSA Families and Friends,
Hope everyone has had a wonderful summer! We hope you are as exciting as our teachers and staffs on the upcoming 1st day of 2015–16 school year, the 13th.
As always, we have a few things want to communicate with you prior to the school starts:
1. 1st class
* it starts at 1:30 PM. We ask everyone to arrive at the least ten minutes early so to get familiar with your classroom, your teacher and classmates.
* All Parents are required to attend the first class with your child on the first day. Teacher will review school’s safety rules, teaching plan, expectations of the class, and the way to communicate with parents. It is also time to arrange the election of Class Parent Representatives.
2. Textbooks (if applicable) will be distributed to those who registered by Sept. 10th.
3. Parent Representatives: we expect each classroom to have at least one parent representative. On top of the classroom support, Classroom Parents Representatives, will be asked as a core decision making group for school-wide activities. The school also expect at the least one of the classroom parents representatives be serve on the school management team. Your room teacher will provide more details in the 1st block of the Chinese language class.
4. Onsite Registration and Payment Collection:
a). Those who signed up online during summer, please stop-by the registration desk to make payment. Thanks!
b). Onsite registration will also be available in the cafeteria.
5. Parking and Safety:
a). Parking: during CSA school hours, all MA state and Town of Andover parking laws, rules, and regulations are in effect in the Pike school. No car should park on the Fire Lane.
b). For safety purpose, parents of Pre-K, K, & First Graders should stay with their children before and after classes (including when on the playground). All children who are not attending CSA classes should only stay in the cafeteria with parents/guardian supervision
c). In case of emergency, please follow the instructions of teachers, on-duty parents, and on-duty admin members
d). CSA Rules and Policies: Parents, please go-over with their children on school regulations and policies. All CSA rules and policies are available online at http://csandover.com/node/16
6. Help needed on 1st day: Please stop-by the admin desk in cafeteria if you can offer your hands to help the following
a). textbook distributions
b). onsite registration and payment collection
c). watching kids safety on the premises
