May 18th: CSA 2014 Field Day - Joint Event between CSA Sunday and After School Programs

05/18/2014 - 12:00
Etc/GMT-4

Dear CSA Families and Friends,

Each year, we hold a school wide event for families and friends to get together, enjoy wide-variety of home-made food, recognize our accomplishments at the school, and join group and individual fun games.

This year, we are going to hold CSA field day on Sunday, May 18th.

Student's work exhibitions, CSA families and friends pot luck lunch, volunteer appreciation, and indoor/outdoor games organized by parents and CSA volunteers, are the main activities of the event:

1. Exhibitions of Students' Work: students, parents, and friends are going to view students' work from all classrooms. The school admin staff along with volunteering parents will select out top THREE exhibitions. Each top exhibition class will receive a classroom cash award.

There will also be a Gong Fu Demo lead by Instructor Alexander Gamble.

2. CSA-family pot luck lunch party: 12:30 PM - 1:30 pm in the Cafeteria.
We are asking each family to bring in number of your favorite dishes to share with all families. As to how much to bring in by each family, we recommend to estimate it based on your whole family's need. If you do not bring a dish for yourself, please kindly donate $10/parent and $5/kid to cover the cost of catered food.

CSA admin staffs and volunteer parents will vote the top TEN dishes on site. These families will win impressive prizes.

3. Games: 1:30 pm - 4:00 pm in the Gym
* Touch the flag - organized by 7th grade class
* Water balloon toss - organized by 6th grade class
* Musical Chair - organized by 5th grade class
* Face Painting - organized by Kasey Walko and the Drawing Classes
* Basketball hoop - organized by Basketball class

* Candy Chopsticks - Organized by High school volunteer Victor Zhang
* Guessing game - Organized by student volunteer Andria Sperl

There will be lots of fun and prizes. Don’t miss out or you’ll be sorry.

4. There will also be on-site registration information sessions for both Sunday and After School programs for 2014 - 2015 school year.

We thank all the classroom parents, teachers, and high school volunteers who are helping the event. Lets have fun!

See you at the party!
